Measure power supply voltage
Red cable Black cable
• Plug power supply to outlet • Select 20V DC voltage on multimeter • push red cable to middle contact of connector • Touch black cable to outside metal contact of connector • Measured voltage: about 12.5V • SWAP black and red cable and notice difference
Measure connection • Select beeper on multimeter • Measure which contacts on switch are connected - are beeping • Switch to another position and notice change • Check what is conductive (metal piece, plastic, etc.)
Connect RAMPS connector and power terminator to power supply • Check voltage : about 12.5V • Polarity: NO sign if red is on second from bottom • Reversed polarity will destroy 3D printer electronics
