Steven Dougherty, President, Everglades Boats proclaimed: “It’s been amazing. 18 months ago, we had over 350 Everglades available for sale at the dealer level. Now we have sold 85% of that inventory (into the marketplace) and achieved all-time market share penetration.” He continues, “We owe it to our hard working dealers and strong brand loyalty.” Approaching the known marine market downturn, Everglades did all the right things. Dealers were encouraged to trade aggressively and make sure everyone interested in owning an Everglades was given an opportunity to do so. Greg Allen, Vice President, Sales states, “…It became a cooperative effort between us and our dealers. As the industry’s floor plan companies pulled back, we all worked on placing boats in the hands of great new Everglades’ Customers. With boats ranging from 21 to 35 feet, Everglades has enjoyed market share increase in every sector. As new dealers abound and dealer orders are pouring in, Everglades is running at a fervent pitch. “Our target is to have around 200 boats available for purchase on a national basis.” Allen continues, “We are filling new dealer’s orders, filling our existing dealer’s orders and trying to build for the fall boat shows…we’re pleased.”
