Media Language Task Below is a description of sequenced scenes from The Village (taken from http://www.imsdb.com/scripts/Village,-The.html). Using a twelve-shot storyboard, sketch the scenes as you think that they should be filmed. Success Criteria: Use a variety of camera shots. What camera angles and distances are you going to employ? What is the focus of each shot going to be? How are you going to communicate this to the audience? How could light be used? Consider the source of light in each scene. What colour palette will you need? How are you going to position the audience? Two sisters sweep the front porch of their simple home. They wear plain boots, not fancy shoes. They swirl their brooms around, light-hearted. The older sister spots something at the edge of the porch and puts her broom down. It is a red flower. Making haste, they pluck the flower, take it some yards from their home, and bury it. They return to their chores, but are subdued. The colour of the flower, red, has spooked them, for it is the bad colour.

There are yellow pendants and burning torches all around the edge of the forest. A low, moaning, rumbling sound comes from the trees. --At a creek in the woods, a reflection off the water shows a swaying, red-cloaked figure walking ponderously by.
