MEET INFORMATION SNAKE RIVER OPEN FRIDAY & SATURDAY, JANUARY 27-28TH, 2017

Description:

Open intercollegiate and high school competition.

Site:

Holt Arena—Idaho State University. Elevation 4560 feet above sea level.

Time Schedule:

Subject to change based upon number of entries. Revised schedule will be emailed to all teams/competitors by Thursday, Jan 27. High school sections will follow the same starting time as the corresponding collegiate/open event. We will provide a competitive opportunity for high school competition in every event listed with some restrictions in the distance events. Friday, Jan 27th will feature combine events competition only.

Scoring:

ONLY the intercollegiate competition will be scored. Scoring system will be determined based upon number of teams.

Entries:

All entries are done through www.directathletics.com ONLY. Due Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 at 12:00 noon (Mountain Standard Time). Payment must be received before entry deadline for entries to be accepted. A ranked list of event entries disclosing all performances used to determine entry in each event and the source of those performances will be published. Enter official top time/mark per athlete. We will allow for speculative entries IF official top times/marks are not available but please, use a FAIR PERFORMANCE ESTIMATE. Unlimited with the exception of entries in the high school distance events. High school athletes will NOT be allowed in the collegiate open competition. Fastest times in the 200, 400, 800, and Mile will be placed in the last heat.

Entry Fee:

$15/athlete. Team Maximum: $150 per gender. NON-REFUNDABLE (these are entry fees not competition fees).

Scratches:

Please call or email your scratches and/or changes by Thursday, Jan 26th by 12:00 noon (Mountain Standard Time).

Facility:

200m board surface with 6 lanes on the oval (55.74m straight, 44.26m curve). 60m board surface with 6 lanes on the straight. Throwing events will be contested off of wooden platforms. Pole vault, long jump and triple jump will be contested on Mondo raised runways. High jump area is football turf. Tape ONLY for jump marks on raised runways, Chalk and Cones will not be permitted. Spikes:

ONLY ¼” needle for all running events please. Jumping events ¼” pyramid. Longer spikes will be allowed for the high jump.

Implement Weigh In:

All implements will need to be inspected and weighed in at the throwing venue immediately upon arrival to the meet but no later than 60 minutes prior to the start of the event. Checked implements will be brought to the throwing area 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. All implements may be claimed at the conclusion of each respective event.

Running Events:

All track event participants must check in 20 minutes prior to the start of their event. Check in table will be set up on the southwest corner of the arena. Please check in at this location and pick up hip numbers.

Field Events:

Check in at the event venue with the respective field event official 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.

Training Room:

Will be open at 8:00 AM. Please contact Daryl Finch at 208-282-3408 regarding our training facilities.

Lockers:

Visiting team locker rooms are available for showering and dressing. The locker rooms are located in the north and south sides of Holt Arena. Please furnish your own towels.

Entrance:

Coaches and athletes enter on the south side of Holt Arena. You will be able to unload your team at the south entrance and then park your vehicle(s) on the east end parking lot.

Results:

Will be posted below bleachers on the south side of Holt Arena, and will be available shortly after the conclusion of the last event. Results will be later posted electronically on ISU web site at ISUBENGALS.COM, TFRRS.ORG, and DIRECTATHLETICS.COM.
