OpeNING KICKOFF Homes Away From Home: With construction ongoing at Lanny & Sharon Martin Stadium, the Wildcats will play their ‘home’ games at a pair of locations in 2015. The ‘Cats will play two games at UIC’s Flames Field - including Saturday’s season opener - and six games at the home of Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire, Toyota Park. All-Time Series: The Wildcats and Raiders will be meeting for just the third time in program history as they have split the first two meetings. The Raiders came away with a 1-0 victory in 1990 before the ‘Cats earned a shutout of their own in 2007, 3-0. Welcome Back: Northwestern returns 82 percent of its goal scoring (18-of-22) from last season and is led by senior tri-captain Joey Calistri. The forward enters the season climbing towards the top of the NU record books, ranking fourth in program history in goals (27) and sixth in points (62). Matt Eliason (2007-10) is the career leader in both goals (33) and points (82). Between the Pipes: One of head coach Tim Lenahan’s top priorities early in the season is replacing 2014 Big Ten Goalkeeper Tyler Miller. The program’s all-time leader in shutouts (34) was a two-time All-American and is currently on the Seattle Sounders FC2 squad. Senior Zak Allen played the most minutes in net for the ‘Cats in exhibition, registering 180 minutes in the three games. Scouting the Raiders: Colgate went just 6-10-2 a season ago, but 11th-year head coach and former Northwestern assistant Erik Ronning returns 10 starters and 22 letter winners this season. Ethan Kutler is the team’s leading returning on the offensive end after a 12-goal, 7-assist campaign a year ago.
