MISSION CUP 2015 STATE CHAMPIONS On Friday, 16 October 2015, 19 enthusiastic Year 6 students set off to the Sunshine Coast for the weekend to compete in Netball QLD 2015 Mission Foods Primary School Cup. Over the weekend the Coomera Anglican College 'A' team played 13 matches un-defeated and were crowned the Netball Queensland Mission Cup Champions for 2015, from 76 schools around the State. Congratulations to the Grand Final Player of the match - Jack Jordan who played the position of centre for all 13 matches. Rebecca McLauchlan said “It was a hard road to the final, however the team dug really deep in extremely tough conditions. Anna Young, the coach really brought the team together and made their individual strengths shine.” The College 'B' team also performed very well winning 6 of their 9 matches. Their level of performance was equal to that of many of the A teams. We have been told that the College should be especially proud, as both teams demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship towards other competitors and teams receiving many compliments throughout the competition - Congratulations to all the players: Monique Holder, Claudia Sweet, Shaye Bardsley, Jack Jordan, Baylie McLauchlan, Tara Hall, Natalia Niumata, Ruby Sprott, Maddison Sawtell, Lily Golby, Ella Price, Caitlin Brims, Charli-Ella Duncombe, Aireena Mansfield, Amy Jefferies, Emmi Callaghan, Amber Perry, Sophia Lines and Emily Watson.
