Welcome to Mountain View Baptist Church! Thank you for attending our service today. VBS Teachers and Helpers Still Needed! Sign up today! VBS is June 6-10 We still need Teachers for 1st-2nd grade, 5th-6th grade, and assistants for Nursery, 1st-2nd grade, 5th-6th grade, Missions, and volunteers to help where needed. Everyone can be used in this great community outreach. We have a goal for 200 to be registered this year! The Persecuted Church Please remember the Persecuted church when you pray. According to billygraham.org, there have been more Christians die for their faith in the past 100 years than in all centuries combined. The question we must ask ourselves, Are we willing to join our brothers and sisters to be “n”? Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Dates to Remember:

“Birthday Fellowship” Tonight, after discipleship, we will have a birthday fellowship for those who have had a birthday from January thru April. Please bring finger foods (sandwiches, chips, dip, desserts)and drinks. Welcome New Members to our Faith Family! By Letter: (12) Tyler James (13) Faith James Nicaragua Mission Trip Fundraiser Angela and Kevin Hill are selling Whole Hog Express plates , to help fund the trip to Nicaragua. Plates include 1/2 chicken, beans, potato salad, rolls and sauce. Cost is $8.00, to be picked up at the church at 5:00pm on Friday, May 6th. See Angela or Kevin to order, or call 256-668-1412. The last day to order will be Wednesday, May 4th. Nicaragua Mission Ambassadors: If you would like to pledge to be a mission ambassador please sign the form in the foyer. Our goal is 50 ambassadors. Mission ambassador donations will be used to fund the construction of the church in San Miguel. They will also fund the orphanage and nursing home in Managua. Ambassador donations are $100.00. Each ambassador will receive a t-shirt similar to the mission team. The last date to receive these donations is May 28th.

Nicaragua Mission Dinner and Singing Fundraiser Friday May 20th the Open Door Mission Team will be hosting a singing at Mountain View Baptist Church to raise money to dig a water well in Los Muñozes Nicaragua. There will be a dinner from 6:00pm-7:00pm. The cost will be $4.00 per plate for smoked chicken plates (no take out). The singing will be 7:00pm until 8:30pm. Churches represented will be Mountain View, Southside, Pleasant Hill and Union Hill churches. Mike Norton will be meeting with those willing to serve during this night of worship and thanksgiving on May 10th at 6:00pm.
