for Purposeful Productivity

Step One: Visualize Your Ideal Morning Routine For Step One, you are going to visualize your ideal morning. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and visualize what your ideal morning would look like. Then, open your eyes and write down everything that came to mind. Here are some questions to help you with this step: • How much sleep do I need? Most of us need at least 8-9 hours of sleep – so pick a bedtime and stick to it. Consider using an alarm clock to remind you to go to bed and turn off all technology at least one hour before bedtime • What time do I want to wake up? Choose your bedtime based on this time. • Do I have children at home? What are their needs? • What’s the one thing I could do in the morning to make my day a little better ? • Is there a personal growth goal I’d like to work on in the morning? • How can I care for myself in the morning? • Is my ideal morning realistic based on my current season of life? Write down your visualized morning routine. You'll work on refining it in Steps Two and Three.

Step Two: Create Your Essential Morning Self-Care Routine For Step Two, ask yourself this question: How can I care for my mind, body, and soul in the morning? You may have already envisioned your morning self-care routine in Step One, but I want to challenge you to create an essential morning self-care routine that cares for your mind, body, and soul. Here are some ideas: Soul Care: • Pray • Meditate • Practice Gratitude • Bible Study/Devotional • Aromatherapy Body Care: • Stretch/Yoga • Cardio • Take a Walk • Drink a Glass of Water • Eat a Healthy Breakfast Mind Care: • Read/Listen to a Book • Journal • Work on a Course • Listen to a Podcast • Do a Brain Dump

Step Three: Organize Your Day for Purposeful Productivity For Step Three, you are going to use your morning routine to organize your day for purposeful productivity. Look at your ideal morning from Step One and think about what you can do the night before to make your morning (and your day) less stressful and more organized. Always keep in mind that a good morning routine starts the night before. Here are some examples of things you can do the night before to create a more organized and productive day: • Prep breakfast • Pack lunches • Have clothes ready for kids/yourself • Review your calendar • Schedule time blocks • Create a prioritized to-list • Tidy up • Do the dishes • Wipe the counters • Create a clean workspace • Do a load of laundry Once you've completed Step Three, take your notes from all three steps and write down your ideal morning routine using the form below.

Next Steps Congratulations on creating your ideal morning routine! I'm excited for you to begin implementing your new morning routine. Here are 3 tips to help you build momentum with your new routine: 1. Post your routine somewhere you can review every day. Use it as a checklist until your new routine becomes a habit that sticks. 2. Find an accountability partner. This can be your spouse/partner, family member, or a friend. An accountability partner will help you stay motivated and committed. 3. Work with a life coach. As you worked through this toolkit, you may have realized that you are ready to commit to making positive and lasting changes in your life. A life coach can help you get organized, set priorities, and work on daily actions to make progress on your goals and projects. As a professional working mom, I understand the frustrations purpose-driven women often feel when trying to do it all while having it all. I can coach you off the hamster wheel of “crazy busy” and help you create the breathing room you crave in your days by setting daily priorities and creating a realistic plan of action to move you forward in your goals and dreams.
