What’s Up Around CUC Athletics Cougar Baseball (8-3) continues their Southern swing this week with four games at Concordia University in Texas Cougar Softball (10-1) comes back from their Florida trip on a nine game winning streak. Their next game and home opener will be March 31st. Men’s Lacrosse (0-4) heads to Trine University in Indiana today.

Top 4 teams qualify for the conference tournament. Teams in bold have clinched a tournament berth The Concordia Cougars and the Augsburg Auggies will face off in a MWLC matchup today at Concordia Stadium. About the Auggies In their third year as a lacrosse program is off to a strong 3-1 start with the lone loss coming to MWLC leading CUW. This is the beginning of a back to back weekend for the Auggies. They are led by Aliya Hinz who had three goals in their 14-2 win over Carroll on March 6th. About the Cougars The Cougars still searching for their first program win, are playing in their second home contest of the week. They fell to St.Mary’s Indiana on Wednesday. Melissa Franco played well in goal despite the loss finishing with 15 saves. Sydney Fuller also played well netting two goals for CUC in the game. Back on the Road The Cougars will head back on the road for the next two games which will both be non-conference matchups. They will return to Concordia Stadium on April 2nd on spring showcase day at CUC. Their match is set for 4:00pm. Baseball, Softball, and Men’s Lacrosse will all be in action at home as well on April 2nd.
