National Night Out and Movie in the Park The Hermosa Beach Police Department invites residents to participate in National Night Out by attending a picnic and free movie in Valley Park featuring the DreamWorks film Home.

Tuesday, August 2, 2016 7PM – 10PM 2521 Valley Drive National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes policecommunity partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Together, we are making that happen. Pack a picnic, bring your blankets and chairs, and enjoy an evening with your neighbors and Hermosa Beach police officers and fire personnel. There will be games, giveaways, popcorn, s’mores and more, and a face painter and balloon artist for kids! Don’t miss out on the fun and this great opportunity to meet your neighbors and the officers that serve your community.

The movie will begin at approximately 8:15PM and conclude by 10:00PM Rated (PG). When Earth is taken over by the overly-confident Boov, an alien race in search of a new place to call home, all humans are promptly relocated, while all Boov get busy reorganizing the planet. But when one resourceful girl, Tip (Rihanna), manages to avoid capture, she finds herself the accidental accomplice of a banished Boov named Oh (Jim Parsons). The two fugitives realize there’s a lot more at stake than intergalactic relations as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime. (Please remember that alcohol is prohibited in the Park) For more information about this event, please contact Georgia Moe at [email protected]
