Nelson Webber “Wolf ” Mr. Nelson Webber, 68, of 3307 Oakcrest Drive, Shelby, departed this life Monday, January 29, 2018, at his home. Born in Shelby, Nelson was the son of the late Lester Webber, Jr. and Annie Pearl Webber. He graduated from Burns Sr. High School in 1968. He retired after 34 years of service at PPG Industries. Nelson was a founding member of God’s People, Inc., where he was a faithful trustee. In addition to being an avid fisherman, he loved his family, sports, and traveling with his wife. Nelson was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lester and Annie Pearl Webber; his brother, Lawrence Webber; his grandparents, Johnny and Pearl Lawrence and Lester, Sr. and Elzine Webber (Goshay); his parents-in-law, J.C. and Mary Jane Blye; and his brother-in-law, James Blye, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Anne Blye Webber; his daughter, Nelsa LaDawna Feaster; his son-in-law, Reginald Feaster; his granddaughters, Aslen Justice and Gabrielle Alyse Feaster; five sisters, Carolyn Surratt (George), Annie Ree Mobley, Elzine Schenck (William), Philann Smith (Joseph), and Mary Helen Lattimore; two brothers, Bradley Webber and Lester Webber; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Dailey (Winfred) and Nell Blye; two brothers-in-law, Daniel Blye and George Blye (Melissa); one aunt, Aileen Frederick; six uncles, Berry Lawrence, Paul Lawrence (Theodosia), Dave Lawrence (Annie), Bobby Lawrence (Gwen), Frank Lawrence (Marie), Isaac Lawrence (Joyce); and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
