About 400 volunteers have recently returned from GO New Orleans. For two weeks, they teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina. They also ran a Vacation Bible School, provided vision clinics, took family portraits and built relationships.

Join us as we explore this kingdom and hear stories of how others are seeing and experiencing it here and now.

Prepare, serve and share a meal with the guests of City Gospel Mission. Serve dinner on the second, third, fourth or fifth Friday of the month, or breakfast the fifth Saturday of each month. To sign up, visit the Info Center in Oakley or email [email protected].

Hang around. The weekend service is only a part of what goes on around here. It’s fine to keep hanging out in the rafters, but when you’re ready for some company, come on down. We’ve got a ton of ways for you to get connected—community groups, serving projects, big and small events. Stop by the Info Center and ask for the latest. We'd love to meet you.
KIDS’ CLUB BAPTISM
Build relationships with those in need of community by playing cards, shooting pool or just sharing stories at City Gospel Mission on Saturdays from 9am-noon or on the first and third Sundays from 1-4pm. Email the dates you want to serve to [email protected].
If your child (kindergarten–sixth grade) has made the decision to follow Jesus and would like to be baptized, the next Kids’ Club Baptism is September 25. To sign up, pick up a packet at the Kids’ Club Info Center or online at crossroads.net. Deadline to register is August 29. For more info email [email protected].
LIFE SKILLS GROUP FOR MEN
PRAYER
Process through pain and isolation caused by childhood sexual trauma and learn about God’s desire for your restoration and freedom. Mondays, August 9-October 25, from 6:30-8:30pm at Crossroads Oakley. To sign up, email [email protected]. For more information, email Scott at [email protected].
Available after each service in your Auditorium seat. For other ways to receive prayer, or to find out about serving on the Prayer Team, go to crossroads.net/prayer. All requests are held in strict confidence.

AUTUMN Autumn Jadwin serves as a wedding coordinator, doing things like spreading rose petals, draping fabric and, most importantly, helping families get through the day as smoothly as possible. What led you to serve? Why wouldn’t someone want to be a blessing on one of the most important days in a couple’s life together? What is your favorite thing about weddings? The promise two people are making, in front of God, to devote themselves to each other from that moment on. If you’re interested in serving on the wedding team, email Susan at [email protected].
