07-08
Subscribe to “The Daily” In this week’s Daily, we’ll revisit themes from the “Kingdom Come” series; looking at the distinct, imaginative and forcefully advancing Kingdom that Jesus brings to our world.
NEXT WEEK’S TOPIC: Fighting Passivity
About 400 volunteers have recently returned from GO New Orleans. For two weeks, they teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina. They also ran a Vacation Bible School, provided vision clinics, took family portraits and built relationships.

your kids will
LOVE this
But not as much as they love you. We are pumped to have your kids in Kids’ Club for an hour every week, but you are the real spiritual leader in your child’s life. Does that freak you out? We’ve got you covered. You can see what they learned each week in kids club by checking out crossroads.net/kc.

Also, be on the lookout for parent pages that provide fun suggestions of things you can do at home to help lead your kids. Don’t worry, our suggestions for home aren’t nearly as messy as the weekend activities.

You think it’s hot here? I heard some guy’s shoes actually melted in New Orleans.

KNOW current message series To many of us, reality is limited to what we see, hear and touch. But the Bible describes something more called the Kingdom of God that’s an invisible, yet present reality. Join us as we explore this kingdom and hear stories of how others are seeing and experiencing it here and now.

We’ve got a ton of ways for you to get connected—community groups, serving projects, big and small events. Stop by the Info Center and ask for the latest. We'd love to meet you.

WHAT’S HAPPENING AROUND CROSSROADS
AUTUMN Autumn Jadwin serves as a wedding coordinator, doing things like spreading rose petals, draping fabric and, most importantly, helping families get through the day as smoothly as possible. What led you to serve? Why wouldn’t someone want to be a blessing on one of the most important days in a couple’s life together? What is your favorite thing about weddings? The promise two people are making, in front of God, to devote themselves to each other from that moment on. If you’re interested in serving on the wedding team, email Susan at
[email protected].
Where W here iis s tthe he Sunday school? S unday s chool? Find out the answer to this and any other questions you have at the next Context Live event on Sunday, August 15 at 1pm at Crossroads Oakley. You’ll also discover more abzout the vision behind Crossroads and how you can get involved (if you want). Meet some people. Get some questions answered. Eat some (free) lunch. Childcare provided.
