With the flooding that took place at the end of 2015 in Missouri and Illinois, MMDC responded to the call for Cleaning Buckets and Health Kits. The communities that requested supplies from MMDC were Manchester, MO; Columbia, MO; Jackson, MO; Kincaid, IL; and Granite City, IL;. We also delivered Cleaning Buckets to Six Flags, Eureka, MO in coordination with the Red Cross and Convoy of Hope, so anyone who needed supplies could stop at one location and get the help they needed. Midwest Mission responded with a total of 3,780 Cleaning Buckets and 1,471 Health kits being handed out .
What does Current Needs mean to Midwest Mission Distribution Center? It means the Center is asking for help in filling the need for items that are required for completing MMDC & UMCOR Kits. Please remember that these kits are made in house and the supply comes from our inventory. In making a monetary donation please have all checks made out to MMDC and send to PO Box 56, Chatham, IL 62629.

Dick Becker of Terre Haute IN, has sewn over 5,000 school bags for MMDC. He started making them about 5 years ago and delivers approximately 300 bags every 3 months. MMDC would like to thank him for his ongoing support.

It’s a Big Day here at MMDC. We have reached 1,000 repaired sewing machines. Jack Bell and Terry House are Volunteers who give their time in checking and repairing sewing machines that come through the door here at the Center. We are always looking for people to help them. “If you’re a man or woman that likes tinkering with things you will fit right in,” says Terry House. Jack Bell adds “Cleaning the machines would also be a big help too.” If you would love to come and work with these two gentlemen or see what they do you can contact the center @ 217-483-7911 or
