Please come pray with us! CCS Moms (this includes grandmothers and aunts!) You are invited to come pray with us on Monday mornings. We meet every week, from 8:45am to 9:45am, in the Art Room (Rm 109) to li up our children and our school in prayer. This year, we would like to make it possible for more moms to pray by providing childcare for any younger siblings. We will take turns having one mom watch the lile ones in the church nursery (Room N1) while the rest of the moms pray in the Art room. For more info, please check out MomsInPrayer.org or contact Caryn Johnecheck at 810.231.3712 or
[email protected] Library Volunteers Needed CCS library is in need of 6 more library volunteers to help the students Friday mornings. If you are available to help please call Sara Zimmermann or the school ofice.
Tardy or Absent The last school bell rings at 8:45am. We encourage you to have your child to school on time so that the teaching flow is not interrupted and your child does not miss valuable learning time Students arriving to their classrooms after 8:45am will be marked tardy. Students arriving after 8:45am must come to the office for a pass. If a student arrives after 9:00am a parent or responsible adult needs to come to the office and sign the student in and the student will be given a pass. At that time the student will be given a pass to enter the classroom. If your child will be out for the day, please call the office (810-494-4040) before 10:00am to report his/her absence and to let us know the nature of their absence. Homework will be available for pick-up in the office within 24 hours.
Lockers Please do not use tape on the inside or outside of the lockers! You may use magnets to hold things in place. If you use a lock on your locker it must be combination only. Please submit your name and combination to the school ofice.
Congratulations to both teams on their recent wins!

Feed My Starving Children will be CCS's October service project. This is a community event that is being hosted by Cornerstone Church on Saturday October 24 & Sunday October 25. During this two day "mobile packing" event, we are hoping to pack more than 200,000 meals that will then be shipped all over the world to not only aid with hunger but death from starvation! You can go to www.livingstoncares.com for more information. This is a family event for all ages 4 years old and up. The packing time slots are filling up quickly, so we have reserved two time slots for CCS families on Saturday. If you and your family want to participate, sign up sheets are located in the office. If those times do not work for you, go to www.livingstoncares.com to sign up for other times. In addition to this, during the month of October CCS students will be collecting coins towards funding these meals You will be receiving more information on this event at a later date.

You may order a t-shirt on-line or on the sign-up sheet outside the school office. Payments for t-shirts are by cash or check (payable to Cornerstone EPC).
