NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS • Nominators are responsible for verifying that their electronic communications (no hard copies) were received in a timely fashion. • Once the application has been received, a confirmation email will be sent to the nominator. Applications are encouraged to be submitted well in advance of the deadline. • Finalists will be required to have a representative on site to receive the award if selected. • Projects/individuals may be located anywhere in North & South Carolina and are not required to be a USGBC member. • You may nominate more than one individual or organization. • Projects do not have to be LEED, WELL, SITES, PEER registered or certified but preference is given for those that are. GREEN SCHOOLS

For a K-12 school that demonstrates sustainable leadership in facility operations and student/community engagement this can be either a LEED-certified schools project, or just a stellar school that participated in Green Apple Day of Service.

VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP AWARD

This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding commitments through their personal time and energy, community connections, or other support. The awardee must be an active community member at the time of submission to be eligible.

EXCEPTIONAL IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY AWARD

For a project (and project team) with the successful implementation of an exceptional and innovative technology that improves the sustainable design and/or operations of the building. Can be a new or existing building.)

INNOVATION IN RESIDENTIAL BUILDING AWARD

For a residential or LEED Homes project that demonstrates use of new technologies and strategies to push the envelope of green design and operations, meeting project challenges in innovative ways)
