Christina Witherspoon were name the NISD December Students of the Month. To describe Gracin is to describe just an overall excellent student & kid. Christina is very positive and energetic and loves to help others.
RETIREMENT — A retirement party was held for Mr. Tim Waldrip on Thursday afternoon from 2-4. Mr. Waldrip is retiring at the end of this semester. We wish you the best on your retirement!
Mitchell Pate & Kamy Taylor were honored at the NISD Board Meeting.
UGLY SWEATER WINNERS — Coach Cody Gore took 1st Place in the Ugly Sweater Contest on Thursday. Audrey Acord came in 2nd place and Nathan Barrett came in 3rd place.

Normangee 4-H students competed at the District 8 Food Show and Food Challenge competition in Belton on Wednesday, December 13th. We were represented in Food Challenge by: Senior Team: Traditions (5th Place, Bread & Cereal) Intermediate Teams: Chop It Like It’s Hot (3rd Place, Fruit & Vegetable) and Spice Girls (2nd Place, Main Dish) Junior Team: Classy Chefs (Spirit Award, Nutritious Snacks) These teams have worked so hard this year! Food Show Intermediate: Robyn McKinney: Protein Rylie McKinney: 4th Place Fruit & Vegetable We are also proud of our district officer Mr. Nathan Barrett. He did a fantastic job representing Normangee 4-H Club today!!!
Mrs. Stanford’s Classes worked with Mrs. Embry’s and Mrs. Fleming’s 2nd Grade Classes to make recycled ornaments out of bottle caps. The 2nd graders are learning about recycling in Science Class.
Mrs. Schroeder’s Wildlife Management Team and Mrs. Bouldin’s Robotics Middle School Robotics Team took a trip to Fairfield on December 13th to study the wetlands at Fairfield State Park.
The Wildlife classes measured and scored antlers according to Boone and Crockett scoring. Pictured are Brianna Herron and Hannah Morton.
WINNER—Justin Vann showed the Champion Black Cross Steer and the Grand Champion of the entire show at the Tyler Mitchell Memorial Prospect Show last weekend.
