The CTSO’s (Career and Technical Student Organizations) pose for a photo on the Capital steps last week. Haley Holdridge and Mrs. Stanford were there Wednesday through Friday. Holdridge personally met with legislators advocating the importance of CTE’s and they hosted a banquet for the members of the Texas State Board of Education on Thursday night. On their final day, they attended the SBOE meeting where the proclamation was declared that February 2018 is designated as National Career and Technical Education month.
Normangee High School Band members competed in Groesbeck last Saturday at the UIL Solo & Ensemble Competition. Earning a 1 on their solos were Zachary Baer, Anthony Banda, Bryce Ogle, Erlinda Pena, and Sarah Sandlin. Erlinda Pena also advanced to the State UIL Solo & Ensemble Competition.

TEXAS FFA — Nathan Barrett attended the Texas FFA "Made for Excellence Conference" in Nacogdoches. MFE conferences are fun and interactive programs which allows students to become better communicators and leaders. Workshops included activities such as time management, agricultural advocacy, & developing resumes & organizational skills.
