Huff Park North and South Setup • Key for green boxes are in key box on shed, code is 2609 • Put bases out • Line field, batters box outline is right inside door to shed • Scoreboard – flip on the 2 breakers in shed for outlet and scoreboard. Each field has a scoreboard case, only works on correct field.
Huff Park North and South Cleanup • Put bases in green box, put plugs in posts and lock green box • Rake infield, mound and home plate area • Make sure dugouts are free of garbage • Put tarps on home plate area and mound, make sure tarp does not hang into grass • Make sure scoreboard is off if used, flip off the 2 breakers in shed. • Put any rakes/rollers/tractor/etc. back in shed • Make sure door to shed is closed and locked
Huff Park Softball Setup • Key for brown boxes are on hook to left after entering shed, code is 2609 to get key to unlock shed. • Brown boxes have bases for each field. Each field has its own set of bases. There is an arrow on each base that points towards pitchers mound. • Pitchers mounds can be found in shed along with rubber mallet to pound mound in. • Line field, batters box outline is right inside door to shed

Baseball Coaches
Regular Season • Substitutes – contact coordinator for your division to find sub players that you can use. These players will bat at end of your lineup and cannot pitch. • Game days: NELL will wait until last minute to cancel games at Huff, if the 2 coaches would like to cancel, just know makeups are hard to come by. • Makeups: If your game is cancelled, please contact your coordinator to try to reschedule. • Umpires: These young men/women are just that young and need help/guidance as well. If you see something that they may have missed, please present it in a encouraging way vs “hey, you missed that”. Major league umpires miss also. Also if you have input either good/bad on an umpire, please share that with your coordinator.
All-Stars • NELL will need help making sure all kids are eligible before finalizing teams. • You will need to gather copies of birth certificates, 3 proofs of residency and school enrollment forms if needed. • Represent NELL in a positive way
