1 / EXT. STREET OF PARIS – AFTERNOON It's a sunny afternoon in spring, in a pedestrian street of Paris. Pierre (a homeless) dressed in dirty clothes full of holes is sleeping on a cardboard along a building wall. He is mid-length gray greasy haired, has a bushy beard and yellowish gray face carved with deep wrinkles: he is about fifty years old. We can hear ïerre breathing. Suddenly a woman in panic falls down on him, pushing a little cry of astonishment, her smartphone is slipping back, but she doesn't notice it, she rushes over and runs off. Pierre wakes up lost and misunderstanding, the sound of her breathing is suddenly giving way to the tumult of the surrounding panic. Many passers run around him, some of them are crying while others are strangely quiet. Sitting up straight, Pierre sees right off the smartphone lost by the woman who fell on him. He picks it up and while standing up, discovers a web page showing the impact of an asteroid that will end the life on earth. Raising his head, looking tense and inquiring, he is being pushed by a man hitting the road, cursing Pierre in passing. Scanning the area looking for answers, he looks at the television set in a cafe nearby; he moves forward and discovers some news flash showing a map with the point of impact in the Atlantic and a countdown before the collision. Dropping his arm that holds the phone, he takes a look at his cardboard and his things. Pierre takes a small key out of his pocket, takes a deep breath and squeezes it in his hand. 2 / INT. LEFT LUGGAGE OFFICE – AFTERNOON The locker door opens of a left luggage office showing the Pierre tired face. He takes his backpack out of the locker and throws it on his shoulder, leaving a black edged envelope stuck at the bottom.

PUBLIC BATHS – AFTERNOON Pierre takes a shower, dirty water flowing at his feet. Pierre is standing naked in front of a sink, her backpack and a clean suit are placed on a chair behind him. He stuck a family picture in the mirror. The photo shows Pierre in the center with his wife to the left who is kissing him on one cheek, and a little daughter standing on the right side and kissing him on the other cheek. He thins his beard out with scissors, then shaves it. 5 / EXT. EIFFEL TOWER – AFTERNOON Pierre is dressed up with a blue night threepiece suit and has his backpack over his shoulder: he climbs the stairs up to the third floor of the Eiffel Tower. At the top facing the military school, he puts his backpack down and pulls a teddy out of it and he takes the family picture out of the chest pocket of the jacket, gazing at it while squeezing the cuddly toy with a sad but soothed look. Suddenly, he hears whispers behind his back it discovers a woman and her little boy sitting against the wall to his left. The mother is smiling sadly at Pierre and so does he, then, turning towards the little boy, smiles at him a little more joyfully. The child answers him with a joyful smile. Then Pierre hands the boy his teddy. The child holds it, smiling more and more. The mother thanks Pierre of a voice for choking by the emotion of the events. Pierre sits down with them. Everything is quiet, wind it up and the night comes far off.
