Novotegra is our in house mounting system with exceptional qualities: It is easy to install, can be used on a wide variety of roof types and is e xtremely stable. Countless wind tunnel tests have demonstrated the safety and overall stability of the Novotegra for Flat Roofs system. Thanks to the newly designed components of our mounting system family, there are three different options to choose from to ensure the optimal mounting configuration for your flat roof. Whether installed in an open or closed e levated configuration, or in the space-optimising east-west configuration, the Novotegra system can be adapted to the individual needs of specific roof conditions.

• No penetration of the roof membrane

L i gh t a n d Sec u re : E l evat e d - C lo s e d Co nf i g u r at i o n — The Low Ba l l ast Opt i o n On flat roofs that have minimal load reserves mounting systems are needed that can be securely installed with a minimum of ballast. In the “Elevated-Closed” configuration, the substructure of the system is arranged in a cross rail configuration with a module mounting rail connected to a base trough that is laid onto the roof surface. The trough serves as both a fixing point for module rail and as a place to load ballast. The module mounting rail consists of our renowned base profile from the Novotegra family. This base profile is attached directly to the base trough using mounting screws that are specially designed for use on flat roofs. The next step is easy: simply attach specially designed module clamps directly to the holes already on the module frame, lay the solar module horizontally into the base profile and attach the upper side to the base trough using the module support set. The elevated-closed configuration positions the modules at a set 13° angle. The final step involves attaching the wind deflector to the back side of the module supports with our flat roof mounting screws. Installation has never been so easy—or secure! Note: Modules without mounting holes in the frame (box-section frame) can not be installed in an elevated configuration with the Novotegra system.

The installation of the substructure can be completed without penetrating the roof membrane. The principle is the same as in the closed configura tion—the base trough acts as both an anchor for the module mounting rail and as a ballast container. There are three different module support length options available for this configuration allowing the angle of the modules to be adjusted from between 13° and 25° elevation. This allows the modules of the solar array to be adjusted to the optimum angle. The specially designed module clamps are attached directly to the mounting holes on the module frame, the module is laid horizontally into the base profile and is attached to the module supports on the upper side. Minimal components and rapid installation make this configuration simply ingenious!

Regardless of whether you choose the open or the closed configuration, all Novotegra for Flat Roof solutions have been thoroughly tested under a variety of wind conditions in wind tunnels. The results have confirmed the proven safety and stability of the entire mounting system.
