JUNE 11-14 WILDCAT FENCING CAMP THE COACHES Ro Sobalvarro has been a member of the US National Coaching staff for over 20 years and coached the 2012 Women’s Olympic Epee Team to the Bronze Medal. He is also the Head Coach at Twin Cities Fencing Club where he has developed national and international level athletes in all weapons. Mike Pederson coached the 2008 US Women’s Foil Team to the Silver Medal. He is currently part of the Canadian National Coaching Staff and has coached numerous athletes to tremendous success both domestically and internationally. He is also an owner and coach at Golden Gate Fencing Center. Eric Momberg is owner and head coach of High Desert Fencing Alliance. He has produced numerous national medals across all three weapons. He has coached sabre at two world championships (top 32 finishes), Pan Am Games, (Bronze medal), and Central American Games (2 Gold medals) as well as camps and clinics nationally and abroad. Laurie Schiller is in his 36th season as the Northwestern University Head Coach. He is the 2nd winningest coach in NCAA history and his past students include numerous All-Americans. Zach Moss is in his first season as the Assistant Coach at Northwestern University. He has over 20 years of fencing experience and was the Head Coach at St. Paul Academy in Minnesota for 4 years.
THE CAMP Wildcat Fencing June day camp is designed for competitive and beginner fencers in sabre, epee, and foil. This is a 4-day camp is open to all levels of fencers age 13 and up. The program includes fitness, instruction, games, skill training, tactics/strategy, competitive bouting, and more. This is a great opportunity to get extra training in for the approaching US Fencing Summer Nationals competition! DATES AND TIMES The camp will take place on Thursday, June 11 through Sunday, June 14 from 10am-5pm each day. COST The cost is $495 for the entire camp or $150/day. Lunch will not be provided, so please bring your own lunch with you. LOCATION Patten Gym 2407 Sheridan Road Evanston, IL 60208
