Motivated, dedicated, responsible and adventurous leaders. Horse camp will give you awesome opportunities to learn and develop skills in effective communication, problemsolving, conflict management, leadership, teamwork, and horsemanship safety. Become a counselor and mentor kids at the Oakland County 4-H Horse Camp!

Oakland County 4-H Horse Camp is a four day instructional camp at Springfield Oaks County Park in Davisburg, MI offered to 4-H youth ages 9-19. Campers and their horses attend three classes a day with instruction by local horse professionals.
Do you want to learn new skills
Do you want experience as a camp counselor?
Classes include: Fitting & Showing, Western Horsemanship, English Equitation, Dressage, Saddle Seat, Jumping, Trail, Centered Riding, Bareback, and Gymkhana. The daily schedule also includes crafts, games and educational sessions with topics such as show grooming, hoof care, trailer safety, tack fit, and equestrian first aid. Requirements: 4-H ages 9-19 Must provide project horse (with proof of negative Coggins test), feed, bedding, and tack (including SEI approved helmet) Day Camp 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. or overnight camping is offered. All adult overnight chaperones must be registered 4-H volunteers who have completed the 4-H Volunteer Selection Process prior to the start of camp.
