The Watkins Missionaries to Costa Rica Clayton-Jodi-Conner-Eva Dear Praying Friends, Just wanted to give you a quick update about what has been going on this past month! We have had the opportunity to present and preach in several churches and be in a couple of really good conferences. Currently, we are in Michigan. God has blessed, and we have a BRAND NEW bumper-pull camper we can tow behind our GMC Yukon that a family has let us use for just a small amount of rent each month! Praise God! We are thankful for each of you that prayed about this need that God saw fit to provide! We have a busy schedule for October as we will couple several presentations with the Fall World Baptist Fellowship Meeting in Connersville, Indiana. So please pray for us as we travel! We also would like to announce that we have had several churches take us on this month and we have gone from the 40% that we reported last month to 56% this month! We have been in 49 churches so far since beginning our pre-field ministry in February of this year. God is providing in huge ways, and we are now moving up our departure date from September 2017 to June 2017! We have scheduled several more appointments to cap off the end of this year and already have 15 or so for 2017! Please keep praying that we will be able to finish filling our itinerary to be able to reach our goal of June! As far as our family is concerned, everyone is doing great in regards to health. Our daughter, Eva, will turn 2 on October 9th! We are planning a fun day at the Detroit zoo to celebrate! Conner is doing great and is his happy go lucky self. We are still amazed at how well they both travel and transition to the many churches and nurseries they go to each week! God has blessed them with patience and flexibility! Jodi is doing well transitioning to her new diet due to her diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and Auto-Immune. She is still in quite a bit of pain most days, but her bright smile hides it so well. Please pray for her as she is still figuring out all the ins and outs of having a chronic condition such as this. Finally, Clayton is doing fine healthwise and is busy making calls, emails, and juggling his online classes for his master’s degree at Arlington Baptist College. He currently is in the last 3 weeks of his Greek block, and currently has an A! We ask that you pray for us as we plan for our departure. We have opted not to take another trip to Costa Rica until our moving date, so we are speaking with Real Estate agents online, researching language schools, and planning our final budget needs for when we move. We are currently turning a lot of our focus to this, and trying to raise our ‘setup fund’ that we will need once we land in Costa Rica to purchase a vehicle, rent a house, buy furniture, etc. Our sending church has set aside a separate bank account to help keep this separate from our regular work fund we use to live and operate each month. If you would like to donate to our setup fund, simply send a check made out to Ramseur Baptist Church, 3400 Lamar Ave. Paris, TX 75460 with ‘Watkins Setup Fund’ in the memo. Any donation will help and we thank you for your consideration! May God bless you as you continue to support us both in prayer and financially! In His Service, Clayton, Jodi, Conner, and Eva
