----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------18 SEPTEMBER 2012 MEETING We had 25 members at our September meeting held in the Seascapes Beach Club on MacDill AFB. Our guest speakers were several pilots from the 91st Air Refueling Squadron who really enlightened us on how Initial Flight Screening (IFS) and Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT) are conducted. Lieutenants Hart, Neumann and Trautman each gave a synopsis of their respective experience and then fielded questions from our august group. The accounts they gave were especially helpful to our two special guests: Cadets Tracy and Torres. Col Matthew Molineux presented our two flight sponsored scholarships to the cadets recognizing their outstanding achievements and future potential to the United States Air Force.
NEW BUSINESS AND OTHER ITEMS Major Christina Thompson has graciously volunteered to serve as our Adjutant, many thanks to her and to Alex “Popeye” Fafinski for his service.
CURRENT MEMBERS Local Flight 2012 dues are due NOW! If you have not paid your 2011 dues, are uncertain of your status or need to make corrections, please contact GEORGE BOOS for updates. Completed applications and membership dues of $15 per year made out to Flt 25 of Daedalians can be mailed to George at: 2258 Toniwood Lane, Palm Harbor, FL 34685-2225. OCTOBER’S PROGRAM AT THE 91st HERITAGE ROOM Our October meeting will be on 16 October in the 91st Heritage Room in building 56 (on Hangar Loop Drive it is the first two story building on the right) with the refuel beginning at 1600 hours. This will be a time to kick back, hang out and share stories with one another. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided. Please bring a small donation to help cover the cost. RSVPs are due by 1200 on Friday 12 October.
