Let us continue to reach out to our church members in need. Cards of encouragement may be sent to Doloris Davis at 5669 Lakeshore Road, Fort Gratiot, MI 48059. If you are going to Port Huron, consider stopping at Regency by the Lake to visit Doloris. Calling all aspiring youth actors!! Auditions for the Christmas skit are today at 4 pm. You must try-out today to be considered for a part. The skit will be performed during our morning worship service on Christmas Eve. Next Sunday, November 5, everyone is invited to stay for the United Methodist Women’s meeting after worship. Lori Walls, a certified life coach and owner of Saving Kitchens in Metamora will be the guest speaker. “Saving Kitchens is all about transforming people’s health by way of what they eat. Food is the single most important factor in our health.” Refreshments will be served following Lori’s presentation. “Secret Sisters” is a women’s ministry within our church where we encourage and pray for one another. We enjoy giving one another anonymous gifts in celebration of life’s big moments as well as “just for fun” occasions. If you would like to be someone’s secret sister for 2017-18, forms are available in the foyer. Completed forms are due by Sun., Nov. 5. See Michelle Lamb for details. Just a friendly reminder that next Sunday, November 5, we “fall back” to daylights savings time. Set your clock back by 1 hour to be on time for church. We would love to have a float in this year’s Festival of Lights parade on Fri., December 1. We are looking for someone or a team of “someones” to coordinate the decorations on the float. Soon we will also be taking sign-ups to help decorate and ride the float as so many did last year. If you are willing to help coordinate, please let Pastor Lamb know. Thank you!
