I need your support! Together we can bring Biblical values to the political arena of our state, our nation, and our world. Would you help?

“Capitol Commission is meeting a very unique need at a very strategic and even dangerous time in our nation's history. My prayer is that Capitol Commission will be used mightily of God to help fulfill the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel and making disciples of those in our state assemblies - and in doing so, help preserve the moral fiber of our beloved nation." Anne Graham Lotz

Dear As you and I look at the values on which many in the political arena operate, we become frustrated, discouraged, and sometimes hopeless, wondering whether our votes even matter. We often ask, “What can I do to help bring change?” There are many answers to that question. First and foremost, we must vote. We can actively support and encourage candidates, we can run for office ourselves, and we can encourage others to run. Since God has given us a mandate to pray (1 Timothy 2:1-4), www.pray1tim2.org, we should be making prayer a priority in our lives and encouraging our church to commit to prayer. Another way I have found to make a definite difference is to support a vital ministry called Capitol Commission. Capitol Commission exists to make disciples in our state and national political arena. It does this by evangelizing those who have no personal relationship with Jesus Christ, establishing those in the faith that they may become fruitful, and equipping some to become spiritual leaders in the sphere of influence in which God has placed them. Brad Harbaugh is in his second year ministering in our state capitol through Capitol Commission. He faithfully influences our state leaders, staff, and other government workers in spiritual matters through weekly Bible studies, prayer breakfasts, group and one-on-one interaction. During this year, in excess of 8,000 Bible studies were distributed in the legislature via hard copy distribution and e-mail. Many churches were recruited to become more active in praying for our state leaders and for our nation. If your church is not actively praying for our state and nation, please challenge and encourage them to do so. Capitol Commission will be conducting its annual fundraising event with a celebration breakfast and golf classic on October 9 at the Raleigh Country Club. Because I am convinced of the long-term significance of this ministry, I am sending letters to my friends, relatives, and associates, asking them to pray and consider partnering with me in support of Capitol Commission. My goal is to personally raise at least $2,500. Would you please consider making a very meaningful contribution to further the eternal impact of Capitol Commission on the people of North Carolina and our nation? Please keep them in your prayers and tell your friends and church about this ministry and event. Please ask them to join Capitol Commission in this ministry, and in prayer. Thank you for your generosity and understanding of the need for this vital outreach. Call me with any questions. Capitol Commission is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation Federal EIN 27-1085525.
