Vembu OnlineBackupTM is a purely cloud-based solution that is designed for SMBs (small, medium-sized businesses) and IT Managers to backup their Physical/Virtual machines. Hosted on Amazon cloud services, OnlineBackupTM provides end-to-end secure backup and faster restores for image backups, virtualization backups (VMware CBT, Hyper-V CBT, Citrix Xenserver) and application backups such as Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server and other database backups. Highly Compliant with Federal Laws
Vembu OnlineBackupTM is designed to meet compliance requirements of local laws. Data stored on Vembu cloud uses AES 256 bit encryption, giving IT managers the assurance that data sent out of the premise is highly secured.
Availability Across Regions
Vembu lets customers take their pick of datacenters and backup server regions. Our datacenters cover regions in the US West, US East, EMEA, APAC for high availability and redundancy.
Backup Seeding
Backing up large amounts of data over the wire can be quite a concern for many. To counter this, Vembu provides an option to Import/Export data to be backed up using Vembu OnlineBackupTM. Data to be backed up can be sent over a hard disk to Vembu which can then be seeded to Vembu cloud.
In the event of complete on-premise site loss, customers now have an option to instantly boot a virtual server on our cloud platform. It typically takes a few minutes for the VM to completely boot and become ready for production use. This makes it possible for businesses to be up and running with minimal downtime even during disasters.
VembuHIVE™
VembuHIVE™ is an efficient file system designed to scale backup and disaster recovery (OnlineBackupTM) applications with support for advanced use cases. VembuHIVE™ can be thought of as a File System of File Systems with in-built version control, compression, encryption, and in-built error correction.

OnlineBackupTM Features and Benefits Proprietary UltraBlaze™ for High Speed VMware Backups
UltraBlaze™ is a technique by which the backing up of VMs using an exclusive physical agent (agentless) is not really required. It just works with your existing VMware server (hardware). VMs can be backed up with existing hardware which saves money otherwise spent on procuring exclusive physical machines just for backing up VMware agents. As the proxy VM is created on an existing hardware/ESXi host, backups can be done 3x faster!
