• Over the last few weeks, we’ve been talking about Advent and sharing the meaning behind it. We’ve talked about Hope, Peace and Joy. The next thing we reflect on during Advent is Love – God's love. His love is a perfect love, and He, in love, gives us everything we need to live a life of hope and peace. • Love is like shining a bright light into a dark place. In dying to forgive us of our sins, Jesus shines God’s love into the darkness of our souls, making us alive! Once we are made alive in Christ, we are light shining into our dark world, because we’re able to love others just as Christ loves us. • We light the candle of love to remind us that Jesus brings God’s love and shows us how to love others. “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5
