Wet Air Test To Wet Air Test for leakage, place a small amount of oil into the intermediate clutch circuit closest to the end plug. Follow with low air pressure. There should be little or no leakage through the exhaust at the opposite side of the body. Instructions 1. Remove all original components from the bore. 2. Discard the capacity modulator valve, spring, and end plug. 3. Using the Sonnax reamer and drill jig 76991-TL and plenty of cutting fluid, carefully ream the valve body bore using a T-handle or speed handle. Intermediate Clutch 4. Remove all debris. Intermediate Clutch 1-2 Accumulator 5. To maintain original 1-2 shift, use the yellow replacement spring. D2 For firmer 1-2 shifts, use the pink replacement spring. (The black spring will provide the lightest 1-2 shift, best in lightweight vehicles, Crown Victorias, or applications requiring soft 1-2. The yellow spring will offer a slightly firmer then OEM 1-2 shift, best in full size, vans, or pickups requiring slight improvement or quicker 1-2 shift. The pink spring offers the firmest calibration for quick 1-2, which may be too abrupt for commuting Mustangs or Crown Victorias.) 6. Lubricate the replacement valve, o-rings and end plug. 7. Place all components in the valve body as illustrated. 8. Retain with original retaining clip. Exhaust
