The Big Horn Basin of Wyoming abounds with hunting, fishing and outdoor recreational opportunities. Wildlife including both white tail, mule deer and moose are attracted to Paint Creek Ranch by the live water and cover. 20-inch brown and rainbow trout are regularly taken in the nearly mile and a half of creek meandering through the ranch. The creek has been professionally enhanced to improve fish habitat and the riparian corridor is fenced off from grazing. Close access to the Big Horn National Forest Wilderness Area offers many expanded opportunities to fish for rainbow, cutthroat and golden trout. The ranch is also home to wild turkey, pheasant, partridge, chucker, sand hill cranes, ducks, geese and many other wild creatures. Yellowstone National Park is an easy day excursion.
