Pool play scheduling is a 4-team / 6-round tournament format. We’re trying to balance the good and bad qualities of each team's schedule. The teams and pools are not seeded. Pools are split by conference and/or geography. All eight teams will play in the championship bracket.

TIES—Standings will be determined (1 through 4) by matches won, tied, and lost. Then games won and lost. Two way ties are determined by head to head. Three and four way ties will be ranked by a point ratio formula — points: (scored / [scored + allowed]). TIME ESTIMATES—With abbreviated play, each round of pool should last an average of 45 minutes. There is no scheduled lunch break, so look at your off round in the schedule and plan ahead. Given a 30 minute "buffer", bracket play should begin by 1:00. These will be four rounds of 2 out of 3 full matches. Each round should take 60 minutes if done in two, 80 minutes if the match goes 3 games. Worst case scenario, we're done at 6:30PM . . . Probably more like 5:30PM, realistically. AIMS—Our goal is for everyone to have a fair and even chance to win the tournament and share a good experience in our gym. Please race horse your pool play schedule, planning to be ready when the court is free and your turn is up to play AND officiate. Please police your own area after each match. We hold a zero tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike behavior by coaches, players, parents and/or spectators. Coaches, please communicate this prior to attending our tournament. Those that cannot or will not comply by these principles will be asked to leave by our Tournament Director or Administration. We’re all here to enjoy a FUN and competitive day of spirited play.
