When a specific cut is desired, use a mechanical pencil to mark a line in each slot. After the other sides of the tool are cut, connect the marked lines and cut across the bottom of the Squedge piece.

• Cut the 6" E square diagonally into fourths. • Sew quarter square triangles to the side sections. Make two.

Press. • Stabilize the center opening and corners with pieces of freezer paper ironed to the back side. • Make a square applique from Fabric A using the freezer paper technique*. • Make four diamond appliques from Fabric E using the freezer paper technique.

• Stitch the appliques in place. • Trim the E appliques even with the outer edge of the project.
