PHILANTHROPY ROUND

The first and longest of the rounds, philanthropy round is your chance to make a great first impression. With that being said, you want to look polished, but casual at the same time. Keep in line with something you might wear everyday, as long as you look like you put in some effort. Jeans are definitely great and appropriate shorts or skirts work too! Nothing with rips or tears, keep length in mind, and remember this is not a night out on the town. The sorority women will be dressed in t-shirts and jeans, so you don’t want to be too overdressed, yet still look put together! Don’t forget to put your personal style into it and be true to yourself. Remember, these are just examples, just make sure you’re dressing appropriately.

HOUSE TOURS

The second round of formal recruitment is house tours, one of which you will need to dress up a little more compared to what you would typically wear everyday. Casual dresses, skirts and pants are a great choice. Again, you want to look put together and show you put in the effort. Wear something you are comfortable in, think as if you were going to a fancier dinner or event. The sorority women will either be wearing dresses, or 2 piece combos that are a little more dressy, so this time you don’t want to be to underdressed. Again, please feel free to put your personal style into it and be true to yourself. Remember, these are just examples, just make sure you’re dressing appropriately.

PREFERENCE ROUND

The third and final round of recruitment is the most formal. Now this does not mean prom or homecoming, it means dressy and overall very polished. You may wear any nice dress you already own, throw on some nice heels and you’re set. Keep in mind length and overall comfort. Ask yourself, can I sit in this dress? Will anything inappropriate be exposed? Imagine yourself as a wedding guest and how you might dress for that occasion, this is very similar. The sorority women will all be in more formal dresses, typically black, so just wear your favorite dress too! As always, stay true to your personal style and wear what you love. Remember, these are just examples, just make sure you’re dressing appropriately.

BID DAY

Bid day is super casual and stays in line with what you would typically wear to class (on a good day) or to hangout with friends. Wear jeans, colored pants, shorts, a skirt, and just about anything on top because every chapter has a little surprise waiting for their new members! So keep it very casual, you will be hanging out in it just about all day, so make it comfortable and fun! Keep it appropriate of course, but comfy and casual are the styles of the day! Also, never forget to stay true to your personal style and wear what you feel your best in, this is an amazing day so let your outfit reflect that!
