REGISTRATION: ALL RIDERS MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT! NO DAY OF REGISTRATION. Early Registration begins February 10th and closes April 30th. Early Registration Fee is $50. Standard Registration begins May 1st and closes August 20th. Standard Registration Fee is $60 Packet Pickup Registration will be held at all packet pickup locations. Packet Pickup Registration Fee is $80. FUN RIDE INFO: BICYCLES ONLY! NO ELECTRIC ASSIST ALLOWED! USAC Release waiver must be signed by all riders or parent/guardian for anyone 18 years or younger. No license is required! DIRECTIONS: Take I-25 to Downtown Colorado Springs. Exit I-25 at exit 141, to Highway 24 West. Follow Highway 24 West to Cascade, Colorado, approximately 10 miles. Turn left at the Cascade Traffic Signal and follow the signs to the Pikes Peak Highway. PARKING: Parking will be at multiple locations from Crowe Gulch to the Ski Area and of course next to the start area just past Crystal Reservoir – 6 miles from the Gateway. Check the event website for map and more information COURSE: This is the same course that the International Auto Hill climb has been using for 85 years. Riders will negotiate over 154 turns and climb over 4,700 feet in 20km to reach the summit. CLOTHING DROP OFF: We will transport your warm clothing bag to summit. Bags must be in start area 20 min prior to Fun Ride start . START: The start line is located approximately 6 miles inside the Pikes Peak Gateway, just past Crystal Reservoir. The Fun Ride will start at 6:00am REST STOPS: There will be food, energy drink & water at the start, Glen Cove and at the summit. There will also be a number of water stops located along the route. Please bring a water bottle and remember NOT to litter! It is a unique opportunity we have to ride our bikes to the summit of Pikes Peak. We ask you to be considerate of others. Thanks for your understanding. TECHNICAL SUPPORT: There will be a mechanic with “limited” support at all rest stops. TIME LIMIT: Riders must finish by 9:00am to be officially timed and placed. At that time the Pikes Peak Highway will be open to traffic. Riders who have not finished but wish to complete the ride to the summit may continue but will NOT be placed and they do so at their own risk as the course is open to traffic. AWARDS: 5km: All riders who make it the first rest stop will receive a water bottle 10km: All riders who make it to Glen Cove will receive a 2014 T-Shirt 20km: All riders who make it to the summit within the time limit will receive a medal WEATHER: The Race and Ride will be held rain or shine, no refunds.
