BEFORE YOU BEGIN Read all instructions before beginning project. Do not prewash fabrics. Before cutting, press fabrics with a dry iron on cotton setting. Use a ¼" seam allowance and sew fabrics with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise noted. Press seams in the direction of the arrows. Remove any selvages before cutting.
CUTTING Multi Feathers: 1 - 16 ½" x 20 ½" (sham center) Green Tonal: 2 - 3 ½" x 20 ½" (top and bottom borders) 2 - 3 ½" x 22 ½" (side borders) 2 - 16 ½" x 22 ½" (back)
Pin the two Green Tonal borders (3 ½" x 22 ½") to the side edges; sew and press. The sham front should measure 22 ½" x 26 ½" (Dia. B). Dia. B
SEWING 1. Pin the two Green Tonal borders (3 ½" x 20 ½") to the long edges (top and bottom) of the Multi Feathers sham center (16 ½" x 20 ½"); sew and press (Dia. A).

2. Fold one long edge of one Green Tonal sham back (16 ½" x 22 ½") ½" to the wrong side; press. Fold again 1" to the wrong side; press. Pin and sew close to edge through all layers to hem. Repeat for the second pillow sham back (Dia. C).
3. Pin the sham top and back RST and sew around all four sides; clip corners (Dia. E). Turn right side out through the opening in the sham back, and gently push corners out; press flat. Dia. E

FINISHING With right sides facing up, overlap the hemmed edges 3 ½" as shown in Diagram D; pin. The sham back should measure 22 ½" x 26 ½". Note: Adjust the overlap if necessary. Dia. D
4. Insert a pillow through the opening in the sham back.

FINISHED CARE INSTRUCTIONS Wash in cold water, gentle cycle. Hang or lay flat to dry. Press on cotton setting.
