PLACER COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE LIVESCAN INSTRUCTIONS Next steps in the CCW process Note to applicants: Livescan fees are non-refundable. To expedite the CCW approval process, we recommend you get your Livescan completed as soon as possible. However, if you believe negative information will appear in your LiveScan results, you may wish to wait to complete your Livescan until after your CCW interview. If your CCW license application is denied, we are unable to refund your Livescan fees.
1. You are required to use the attached Placer County CCW Livescan form. Print the attached form and give it to your Livescan provider. 2. Livescan fees are currently assessed as follows: a. FBI/DOJ Livescan fees: $93.00 b. Agency Rolling Fee: This fee is set by the agency and will vary by location 3. Please retain your copy of the completed Livescan form for your records. 4. The California Department of Justice will forward your Livescan results directly to us. We are unable to give a timeframe of when the DOJ will return your results. Normal DOJ process time can take 3-6 months. 5. Once we receive your Livescan results your CCW application will receive final review. You will receive an email when your CCW license is ready for pick-up, or if we need additional information. 6. After approval, applications are subject to a final processing fee of $80.00 prior to license delivery. This payment can be made by credit card through the Order Tracker.
