Tryout dates are October 24th and 25th at Plainfield Lanes in Plainfield. Bus # 4 on west side of school will be taking bowlers to Plainfield Lanes. Everyone will be told if they made the team by the end of the 2nd day of tryouts. A current physical must be on file with the Athletic Office prior to tryouts Register online to complete the legal forms (plainfieldcentral.8to18.com). NO EXCEPTIONS! No one will be allowed to tryout without your physical on file and registered online. Everyone must attend both days of tryouts to be eligible for making the team. Team members will be chosen based on attitude, pin count, knowledge of the game, spare shooting, ability, and willingness to learn. All students must qualify to participate based on passing grades. Returning bowlers must have failed no classes carried over into the season. (IHSA rule)
Practices Practices will begin immediately at 3pm on October 26th. All practices will be held Monday thru Friday at Plainfield Lanes unless there is a conference or non-conference meet. Everyone will be expected to be at practice on time and ready to stretch before 3pm. Contact me if you’ll be late or unable to make practice prior to 3pm. Parents will be expected to pick you up from Plainfield Lanes after practice ends. Meets -
A schedule of all Meets and Invites will be provided to team members the first week of practice. In addition, it will be posted on the school website under Athletics – Winter Sports – Schedule Boy’s Bowling. Directions to all away Meets will be handed out with the schedule Bowling season goes from October 26th to January 28th if we make it to the State Tournament.
Uniform Dress attire for all Meets and Invites consist of Black Dress Pants and Team Jersey. Everyone is required to wear their black dress pants and team jersey to school on the day of Meets & Invites. NO

EXCEPTIONS! Not following this rule will result in disciplinary consequences of not bowling, removed from team, etc! The cost of the team jersey is approx. $40 (Actual cost will be announced once finalized). Team members are allowed to keep their jerseys once the season has been completed. No jeans are allowed during competitions! Each bowler must have their own equipment to compete (Bowling balls, shoes, bags) School Activity fee of $130.00 must be paid once roster established. All High school bills needs to current (payment plans) or paid in full. You will not be able to compete if your bills are not right with the district. You pay your fees online just like school fees. The team will participate in a “Team Fundraising Activity” to help generate money to pay for jerseys, lunches, snacks, etc. Bowlers will be expected to pay any difference in cost of the jerseys if enough money wasn’t collected at the Fundraiser. All parents will be asked to attend a “Meet the Coaches” meeting to review this handout, our expectations, and general rules.
