Keeper/Striker Camp June 8, 9, 10 • $150 Oklahoma City University • 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Keeper/Striker Camp is for boys and girls ages 12-18. This camp is designed to specifically train the strikers in multiple finishing techniques (off the dribble, volleys, heading, one-timers, etc...). The goalkeepers will be trained in shot-stopping, handling, footwork, crosses and diving. The groups will be brought together to train the techniques in competitive game situations. Lunch provided.

These camps are designed for the more serious soccer player who wants to have fun while improving his or her game. Campers, ages 8-17, enjoy five days of expert instruction, training, films, and fun.

Boys and girls may choose to attend a day camp at one of several locations or the serious player may select either a commuter or residential camp held on the Oklahoma City University campus.

DAY CAMPS Day camps are held from 9 a.m. to noon and are geared to soccer players ages 5-12. The curriculum includes stretching exercises, individual skills, smallsided games, full-sided games, laws, tactical training and more. These players are given a fun-filled introduction to the basic skills of the game including juggling, dribbling, shooting, heading, passing collecting and tackling. Special goal-keeping training is offered. Fee: $90, includes five days of instruction, drinks and a camp tee shirt.

Brian Harvey is a rare blend of soccer skills, experience, in-depth knowledge and love of soccer. These qualities, combined with enthusiasm, patience and a genuine interest in children, provide the makings of a first-rate coach and camp director. Born and raise in England, Harvey has been called “Soccer’s Ambassador to Oklahoma.” He is a talented athlete with an exceptional skill for teaching and a concern for each child’s achievement and positive self-image. For thousands of youngsters in Oklahoma, Brian Harvey has added a new dimension to the game of soccer with his insight and approach. At the American Youth Soccer camp learning to play soccer is both rewarding and fun. Brian Harvey holds a USSF “B” Coaching License and is a licensed English F.A. coach. He has international experience as both a player and as a coach. Harvey played professionally in England, Australia, Hong Kong and in the United States (Dallas Tornado). He has coached on the professional level in Hong Kong, with the Tulsa Tornado and the Oklahoma City Slickers. Harvey has spent much of his time coaching youth teams. In 1979, his under-16 boys’ team won the national championship. In 2007, his under-14 boys’ team won the Welsh Supercup. Harvey has been the head coach of the OCU men’s soccer team for the past 25 years. He started the women’s team in 1994. Brian has compiled a lifetime record of 540 wins and 37 ties out of 777 games. The Oklahoma Soccer Association honored Coach Harvey as their selection of Girls’ Coach of the Year for 2000, Boys’ Coach of the Year for 2007, Region III Boys’ Competitive Coach of the Year for 2007. Coach Harvey is also a staff coach for Region III Olympic Development.

SALLY COLE Former OCU four-time All American player; two-time Academic All-American at OCU; All-State player while attending Yukon High School. Currently Girls’ Head Soccer coach at Bishop McGuinness High School. MATT MARTIN Former OCU goalkeeper and goalkeeper coach. Currently Assistant Coach at Heritage High School. RYAN TRUDGIAN Four year starter for the OCU men’s soccer team; All-American, All-Region, SAC conference All-Star team; leading goal scorer for the past four years. He has a United States Soccer “B” license.
