MEMORIALS: Cemetery Fund in Memory of :
Well Abner Creek, fall came in beautifully! A little about our WMU: Our on going missions education develops believers who understand God’s mission in the world, leading to engaged Christians who are passionate about fulfilling the Great Commission and sharing the love of Jesus with others. We do this in many ways and covet the prayers of our church in this work. The “Janie Chapman Offering for State Missions” is in progress. Our church goal for this offering is $1500. Here are two of the things this offering supports in upstate SC: a starter church “Slater Baptist Church” in Slater SC. This small church is seeing lives changed and transformed. In the lower state, city of Beaufort, “Cross Community Church”, launched in 2017, and has 360 adults and children in attendance. Beaufort County is significantly unchurched and is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States. All of the offerings taken for the “Janie Chapman State Missions” stays in South Carolina. Let’s all pray about our part in this special offering. Many in our church are involved with “Samaritan’s Purse” and the Christmas Child Shoe Boxes. Ruth Jordan and her team are tirelessly working toward packing 300 boxes this year. There are many ways we can be a part. The “Courageous Followers Sunday School Class” has already sponsored shipping for 45 shoe boxes. These boxes are already packed and ready to ship. Ruth finds many bargains in her field of work and simply purchases them to help fill the boxes. She also hand makes many items and has those who help make items themselves. We can pack a box ourselves or purchase items and add them to the items Ruth already has. This is a tremendous ministry that reaches children and adults all around THE WORLD!!

FORGIVENESS: How to Seek It Six Week Men’s Bible Studies Wednesdays @ 6:45pm
On Wednesday, October 18th, Ruth will be with us to “Kick Off An OCC Program” here in our church. This is an exciting time for all of us. Let’s be here to support this! 2017 Christmas Prisoner Packets. If you wish to contribute to this worthwhile ministry, the due date is November 12th. Many men, women and youth in the SC Prisons, have no one who cares for them. They have no visitors, nor do they receive gifts at Christmas. The project makes Christmas special for them. You provide hope and love. As a result, some have received the true Christmas gift. They have come to know Jesus Christ because we care. We will list items for Prisoner Packets separately. We put this gift in the right hands and God does the rest. Linda Currin had a bang-up start for the new church year in her home for “The Love In Action” group. Their October meeting will be in the home of Nikki Enge. Nellie Rumsey, wMu Director
