PRE ARRIVAL CHECKLIST- 2013 ROYAL MELBOURNE SHOW IMPORTANT: Please review and ensure that this checklist is completed prior to arriving at the showground site. General Staff;
Carry Induction Card Certificate with you at all times whilst at the venue.
Wear a High Visibility Vest during the Move in and Move out period of the event.
Be aware of moving vehicles, machinery, bicycles, pedestrians and livestock. A maximum speed limit 10km applies whilst within this venue.
Carry your licences with you when operating vehicles and machinery at all times whilst on site.
Be familiar with the site Emergency Procedures and report All hazards & incidents occurring at the venue to the RASV Event Management Centre on (03) 9281 7400.
Contractors It is mandatory for contractors and other stakeholders to have in place the following insurances prior to Commencing work at the venue unless the RASV Limited provides a written variation to the contrary: Provide certificates of currency for all insurances including Public and Products Liability, Professional Indemnity, Work safe Insurance, Volunteer Insurance etc. Send via post to Mrs Sue Gullick Melbourne Showgrounds Epsom Road, Ascot Vale 3032 or email information to
[email protected], It is mandatory for contractors and other stakeholders to have in place the following insurances prior to commencing work on the site unless Melbourne Showground’s provides a written variation to the contrary: (i) Workers' Compensation insurance in accordance with the applicable legislative requirements; (ii) Public and Products Liability insurance with a Limit of Liability of not less than $20,000,000 for any one occurrence and in the aggregate, (iii) Plant and Equipment covering tools, tackle, employees' effects, temporary hutments, scaffolding and the like, all the property of the contractor or for which he/she is responsible; and (iv) Motor Vehicle Liability insurance covering both personal injury and property damage. Wherever possible the certificate of currency for insurances will extend to include Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, Showground’s Nominees Pty Ltd, and PPP Solutions (Showground's) Nominees Pty Ltd as an insured, or where this is not possible, insurers must agree to waive the rights of subrogation against Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria. Provide Risk Assessments, Safe Work Methods, OH&S procedures, and Chemicals or Hazardous Materials information (including Current Material Safety Data Sheets) where applicable and send to HSE Manager

Contact your RASV manager to obtain car parking or I.D. passes for the event (as required).
Ensure that your personnel are inducted online and arrive to the showgrounds with a Hi Visibility safety vest.
Please Note: No Hi Vis Safety Vest and Induction Safety Card – No Entry into the showgrounds site during the move in / out period.
