Preparation of Pre-cut Fusible Appliqué Shapes Steps for embroidery machine appliqué designs Pre-cut Fusible Kit There are 6 kits for the Affairs of the Heart design. Each Kit contains 6 different Blocks. When a fabric is used in more than one block, that fabric will have appliqué shapes for all blocks in the kit. Each Kit has a Legend sheet to help determine which shape goes with which Block and Piece Number. Locating the appliqué fabric to the Legend Select a fabric from the kit and locate the shapes on the legend sheet. Use the Block Instructions to confirm correct selection on the legend sheet, as it contains the name of each fabric for each piece. The Color Card document (on the CD and Website) contains the picture of the fabric and name of the fabric. Matching appliqué fabric to the Legend Once the Legend graphic is located, turn over the pre-cut fusible fabric and confirm the laser cut shapes match the Legend graphic.
Label the Pre-Cut Fusible Shapes On the paper side of the pre-cut fusible fabric, label each appliqué element with the Block Number and Piece Number, example B28 P1.
Cut and Store of Pre-Cut Fusible Shapes Clip the small attaching fabric for each Pre-Cut Fusible Shape. Place the shapes in 6 different groups by Block Number. Once all the shapes are clipped, place them into a plastic baggie until it is time to stitch out.
