Pritchett Commits to Thunder Baseball Senior Outfielder Ben Pritchett has decided to continue his baseball career next year at Trine University. The Thunder are an NCAA Division III program that competes in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association under the direction of Coach Greg Perschke. Coach Perschke played professionally as pitcher for nine years and is now in his twelfth season as coach of the Thunder. Ben, son of Dave and Michelle Pritchett, is a 2-year letterman and the Tigers starting right fielder this season. Through 19 games, Pritchett is hitting .292 (14-48) with 2 doubles and 3 RBI. Pritchett is a solid right fielder with a strong arm. He has touched 87 mph off of the mound. After not pitching since junior high, the Tigers have only used Pritchett for 1 inning on the mound this season. Fishers Tigers Coach Matthew Cherry had this to say about Ben, “Ben is a wonderful young man, who works extremely hard. He does all the little things right and is a leader by example. Ben has been very consistent for us at the plate all season. I believe Trine is a great fit for Ben, and I am excited that he has the opportunity to continue playing baseball at the next level.” Congratulations Ben and family.
