Building Awareness, Empowering Families, Leading Change, Fostering High Expectations, and Presuming Competence for Students With Complex Instructional Needs
Why Join the Network? • Would you like to learn how to lead educational change for your child, as well as other students throughout Pennsylvania? • Would you like to assist in increasing access to the general curriculum for students with complex instructional needs in their schools? • Would you be interested in meeting and networking with other parents across the state who have this same vision?
How Can Project MAX Make a Difference for My Child? When students with disabilities are provided with appropriate instruction and supports, they can learn grade level academic knowledge and skills as required in their individualized education programs (IEPs). They may also communicate in ways that are commensurate with their same-age peers. Ultimately, working together, parents and professionals will positively influence opportunities, experiences, and outcomes and envision a future where all students are prepared for meaningful post-school outcomes.
