Project Syndicate Commentary Distribution In 2012, Project Syndicate distributed a total of 1003 commentaries to its member newspapers. This is an increase of approximately 16% from 2011. Furthermore, the following monthly authors joined Project Syndicate in 2012 – Kemal Dervis, Ana Palacio, Andrew Sheng, Anne-Marie Slaughter, Javier Solana and Laura Tyson. Project Syndicate also launched two online content initiatives, by adding blogs to its website, and creating an ‘On Deck’ section featuring online only commentaries. Although a large number of publications are invariably missed due to the difficulty in tracking publication in Project Syndicate members in poor countries, in 2011, 23,827 Project Syndicate commentaries were published around the world. In 2012 we recorded 25,590 publications, an increase of roughly 1%.

Project Syndicate Translations In 2012, Project Syndicate continued providing translations of commentaries in nearly all major world languages. We also launched a new Dutch translation service in August. The table below shows the number of translated commentaries distributed in each language.
