Fashion Show and Monsters Ball

On the Fashion Show…

I liked all the Clothes.” It’s been a busy year for the PTA, starting with a fashion show. Pupils from the school had the opportunity to perform on our very own catwalk, wearing clothes from the Kids on the Catwalk company. Clothes’ sales and refreshments came to total of £279.87 The Monster’s Ball continued to be a very popular event. The tunnel had grown longer and spookier. The cauldron was back as disgusting as ever, much to the children’s delight. So many of the children had put a great deal of effort into dressing up in the goriest and spookiest outfits they could imagine. Overall we raised £800 and the children had a great time.

Working alongside the parish, the Christmas Fair was very successful, with lots of new stalls, some old favourites and an elaborately decorated Santa’s Grotto. Overall we raised a whopping £2047.82 The PTA worked with Mrs Dowd & the School Choir to prepare us for the Christmas season with some wonderful Christmas Carols. We also made £71.55 from generous donations for mince pies and refreshments. Our next fundraising activity was the beautiful Christmas cards, which raised a terrific £230 Just before Christmas we also launched the easy fundraising initiative, which raises money whilst you shop online- to date we have raised £539.56 www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/moreparkrcp

School Lottery On the 5th March we also began our ‘School Lottery’, whereby parents sign up online. Each parent is entered into two draws one National where the prize is £25,000 and the other is just for our school. This means that every week someone supporting the school is guaranteed to win a prize. So far we have raised £201.60 for the school. Mother’s Day, Film Night & Easter Quest The year continued with another big event in the form of the Mother’s day Afternoon Tea. A selection of husbands and Mr Fox served Mothers and their children with sandwiches, scones, some very beautiful miniature cakes & refreshments including the odd glass of Prosecco! It was well attended and enjoyed by all and helped to raise £298.19.

doughnuts were delicious.”

The term ended with the traditional ‘Easter Quest’, unfortunately due to our British weather this year’s quest had to take place inside the hall, however this did not deter anyone and the event was very well supported and raised £109. Many of the children were particularly fond of the Easter Bunny or maybe it was the chocolate eggs she was handing out!

The Circus comes to More Park After weeks of anticipation Happy’s Circus finally arrived complete with Stalls, Barbecue & Beer. There were a variety of performances ranging from flexible Hula Hoop Girl, to the incredible Spiderman. Happy & Pip provided plenty of comedy and, of course, audience participation. All the smiles and laughter showed everyone had a fabulous family time. This event raised over £2000
