2. Be able to direct staff to relevant resources
3. Demonstrate the factors covered within Equality and Diversity
1.1 Explain the components of the roles and responsibilities of the assistant EDIA 1.2 Explain the roles and responsibilities of the EDIA 1.3 Explain what Equality, Diversity and Inclusion means 1.4 Implement Equality and Diversity policies within your workplace 1.5 Implement core values and standards within your workplace 2.1 Describe how to raise Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) awareness within the workplace 2.2 Explain the policy relating to bullying and harassment 2.3 Explain the procedure relating to complaints 2.4 Explain the relevant sources of advice and support available 3.1 Demonstrate awareness of: a. This introductory unit is designed to expose learners to some of the fundamental aspects of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. The aim of this unit is to establish in the minds of learners the fundamentals of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and provides sufficient baseline knowledge which learners will enhance through demonstration 4
in the workplace. Learning will typically consist of classroom based sessions and in a simulated workplace environment. Details of the relationship between the unit and relevant National Occupational Standards or other professional standards or curricula (if appropriate)
