Quantico 100 Takes Running Fast to All New Level Log miles within 100 minutes during April 29 event marking Quantico’s Centennial QUANTICO, VA (February 13, 2017) – Log as many miles as you can within 100 minutes that’s the premise of the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) Organization’s newest event that marks the U.S. Marine Centennial on Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. Online registration for the Quantico 100 presented by GEICO Military opens this Friday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. Eastern on the website at www.marinemarathon.com. The 100-minute, log-as-many-miles-as-you-can Quantico 100 presented by GEICO Military is a stimulating run beginning and finishing at Quantico’s historic Butler Stadium, with 1,000 participants accumulating as many laps as possible on a three-mile loop course. The Quantico 100 course reflects the same distance as the Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test. Runners ages eight and up can register for the Quantico 100 that begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes a Centennial Celebration Concert. The Quantico 100 also includes Evening Colors and an awards ceremony for those individual runners, and teams of runners, who log the most miles within the 100-minute event. Packet Pick-up for the event will be held on Friday, April 28 at MCMO headquarters at Fowler Hall. All participants will receive a technical heathered T-shirt at Packet Pick-up and commemorative patch upon finish. Throughout this year, Marine Corps Base Quantico is commemorating 100 years of Marines at Quantico supporting and defending this great nation.
