Coordinator: Clarence Johnson Position Coach: Tom Kelly Returning Starter: Nick Mecca Returners: Joseph Giglio, Chris Apicella, Mateo Zapata Newcomer: Joe Giordano The Red Foxes are looking to replace Mike Maccarone, who handled most of the placekicking and punting duties for the last three years and departed Marist as the program’s all-time leader in kicker scoring. The team has also lost kickoff specialist Ryan Spaulding, who received his degree in three years. Giglio, a four-year member of the program, and Zapata, who did not see action as a freshman last year, will vie for the kicking and punting duties. Mecca is one of the PFL’s top long snappers. Apicella provides depth at long snapper and sees other action on special teams. Giordano is a true freshman long snapper. Wide receiver Anthony Olivencia is also competing for time at punter and kickoff specialist, and is the team’s primary holder entering the season.
