Qwest Center OMAHA Home to the 2008 NCAA M e n ’s Basketball Tournament, Qwest Center OMAHA™ continues to be the site of recordbreaking crowds. The venue has hosted record crowds for the three largest basketball crowds in state history, all Creighton wins. In the summer of 2006, more than 1,500 seats were added to the north end zone, completing the upper deck and pushing capacity for the award-winning facility to 17,272.
Home of Creighton Basketball In 2005-06, Creighton men’s basketball ranked 20th nationally with 13,901 fans per game, and the Jays have attracted more than 600,000 fans in the last three years alone. Qwest Center OMAHA will also serve as the host for the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championships (2006 and 2008), US Olympic Team Trials for Swimming (2008) and the NCAA Wrestling Championships (2010).
