Having spent six years in Kyoto, Japan studying Japanese woodblock printing, her practice today draws inspiration from the centuries-old traditions of Eastern art.
Wednesday 5 October Exhibition Tour, Sonia Boyce RA Sonia Boyce RA is currently the lead investigator of a three-year research project, Black Artists and Modernism, in which she explores the works of Black-British artists and the relationship of the works to modernism. The project will offer a fascinating examination of the framework in which we place cultural artefacts, particularly in relation to the larger trajectory of twentieth century art.

All cancellations must be received in writing by Royal Academy America, and charges are calculated as of the day notification is received in writing by Royal Academy America. If a trip participant cancels, the following scale of charges is incurred: There is a nonrefundable administrative fee of $500 per person. The costs associated with any tickets purchased for planned activities (as indicated in the itinerary) are non-refundable. Written cancellation received by Royal Academy America on or before 5 September, 2016: full refund minus $500 per person administrative fee and any individual ticket fees purchased for event. Written cancellation on or received after 5 September, 2016: no refund. After the tour has commenced: it is not possible to issue any refunds. No refunds for any unused portion of the tour including, but not limited to, occasional missed meals or any missed sightseeing tours. Costs for promotion, staff, and other group expenses are not refundable. In the case of cancellation, substitutions are not acceptable. The tour cost is non-transferable, and no substitutions are allowed. If Royal Academy America cancels the tour due to low registrations, active registrants will receive a full refund of all tour payments.

Payment Payment of $2,500 per participant is required to guarantee participation in the program. This may be paid by check, or by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Registrations will be accepted on a spaceavailable basis with payment in full by check.
